Salvador Bahia airport became the first airport in the Americas to achieve ACA Level 5, the highest level of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme run by Airports Council International (ACI). A total of six airports in the VINCI Airports network – in France, Portugal and Brazil – have reached net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
